Transcription & Subtitle Creation
Creating a transcript of your video or podcast allows your audience an added way of consuming your content, makes your content more easily searchable, and provides new options for repurposing your content. Automating this task usually results in errors, and can make your brand seem unprofessional. We use AI to start on the transcript process, but humans proofread and finish the process, ensuring a professional, error-free file that can be uploaded to video and/or podcasting platforms, such as YouTube and Apple podcasts. At a predictable price.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions folks like you ask about Transcription & Subtitle Creation
Can you provide this service in different languages?
Yes, to an extent, depending on the language. Talk to us about what you need. Don’t worry, we would still be using humans, not Google Translate. There is a surcharge for the language translation.
What if I need this service on a regular basis, and don’t want to fill out a form every time?
Talk to us about what you’re regularly producing, and we can likely give you a bulk discount with monthly billing.
What do I do with the .SRT file? Can I open it?
The .SRT file is the subtitle file, and it ensures that the captions line up with the timing of when they appear on screen- it should be when they are being said! Most platforms that support subtitling or closed/open captioning will ask if you have a .SRT file to upload, and you will! So upload it. You can’t open it to view like you would a Word document. It only works when you upload it to work alongside your video.
If I can’t open the .SRT file, how do I know you did it right?
You’ll be able to open the .txt file, which is the transcript. The captions are based on the transcript, so if that’s right, the only difference is the timing of when those words appear onscreen.
What if I find an issue in the transcript or subtitles after it’s been published? Can you fix it?
Yes! Just let us know where the mistake happened, and we’ll fix it and give you replacement transcription and caption files, free of charge.
Why can’t I just use the subtitles that the platform creates?
#NotHumans. You can use the subtitles if you’d like. You’ll definitely want the opportunity to proofread and edit them first, though, before they are published with the video. Make sure you feel very confident in your English skills, including grammar and punctuation.
Can we specify the font and look of the captions?
Yes! Unlike the captions generated by platforms, we can create a branded style for you, that can be used every time we caption videos for you. We can create a background for the words so they stand out more, we can use a specific font, and color of your choice. We recommend considering the placement of captions when you’ve got graphics on the screen so that the captions aren’t hiding the graphics you are using.
